Double Infinity Tattoo

If only carving a tattoo is not forbidden in my religion, I definitely had already owned one. Since I was a kid, my kindergarten’s teachers had always taught me to draw or doodling on the drawing books. With many colors and many shapes, kindergarten had trained our brain to response to the visual aspects. Some people just through this experiences and remembered them as some childhood memories, while some are bring this habit for the rest of their life. For me, drawing or doodling random things and random colors somehow give a fun sensation in my brain. While I was a kid, I saw a man with those pictures in their body. I thought it was really cool. I tried to copy what that man do by drawing things in my hand, usually star or flower shapes. Of course it will be gone after I took a shower. But this man, he still had the picture on his body even after the shower. This picture stay there for like.. forever. So I start to wonder, what is that?

The concept of tattoo itself has born in this earth many centuries ago. Symbols, pictures, words, are usually carved in a body to be a reminder or capturing special memories. I watched this TV shows and saw a great symbol carved on one of the main character’s arm. It’s a double infinity tattoo. After that, this symbol haunted my mind everywhere. I could not forget that symbol. It was like, every time I close my eyes, I always see that symbol. Of course I know the infinity symbol, moreover I was taking a science class in high school which made me familiar with this “falling 8” shape. But, the double infinity symbol somehow looked way prettier and more enchanted than just an infinity symbol.

The idea of double infinity tattoo is very popular to be used by couples. Each of infinity symbols represents love, hope, and faith. Tied them together shows that they both are committed to give their infinite love in their life.

Back to the meaning of double infinity, the “right” way to carve a double infinity symbol is when a couple uses it to show or to be a reminder that they will give their infinite love to each other. However, there is this idea to show the opposite feeling of love: The resentment. It is a good thing if we continue to love our soul mate until the day we die, but it is lonely if we continue to hate someone for the rest of our life, isn’t it?

At the conclusion, I see the double infinity tattoo just want to tell us that ‘there is no end journey’ from every reason why we get tattooed. So we better think and think and think again, before we made the double infinity tattoo decision. So if you already had a strong determination to get the first time of double infinity tattoo, here are some tips:

Make sure you are ready. Ready in both physical and mentally condition. You have to be immunized of hepatitis and tetanus. Consult the doctor if you have certain conditions, such as pregnant, heart disease and etc. Also, you have to be sure that you prepared to feel hurt.
Double infinity symbol suits on almost every body part. Usually on the wrist, arm, and back. I am not sure, how about the differences of “hurt” sensation on each part.
Find the most reputable and reliable tattoo artist. Although this symbol looks very simple, the wrong tattoo artist could lead the worse result. More importantly, hey.. it is a carving on your body. And it will be hurt, so pick the right one.

Ask for a companion. If you try to get tattooed for your endless journey of love with your boyfriend or girlfriend, you better get tattooed together. Experiencing this together will not be forgotten.
Take an extra care for your skin. Use the UV sunblock, use lotion, wash carefully with soft towel. Pray that there will not be a complication or allergic condition after getting tattooed.
Have fun. Even if you cannot get tattooed but you really wanted to (like me), maybe we could try the temporary tattoo.

Tattoo stays forever. Infinity symbolizes something limitless. Carving double infinity tattoo in your body means unimaginable commitment. So, ask yourself. Are you really ready for this?
